چکیده
High strength concrete is being required due to the construction industry's growth. Admixture and supplemental cementing materials (SCMs) are employed attain this strength. According earlier research, nanoparticles with a high surface area volume ratio, such as colloidal nano-silica (CS), which contains an amorphous silicon dioxide (SiO2) core hydroxylated surface, have potential for extremely chemical reactivity. This study examined results of adding metakaolin silica in varying amounts. Tests accordance Indian standards been conducted order evaluate compare mechanical properties concrete, compressive strength, split tensile flexural while employing different percentage replacements silica. norms, 150mm cubes were cast tests diameter by 300mm height cylinders produced tests. In investigation, was used instead 10 30 percent cement mass, 0 6 added. The experiments indicate that most optimal mixture, desirable obtained, 10% 2%

A Study on Strength of Concrete With Partial Replacement Of Cement With Quarry Dust And Metakaolin
Concrete a composite material made from cement, water, fine aggregate and coarse aggregate. But present researchers are in interest of finding new cement materials by waste materials or waste products produced from industries which are harmful to environment. The present paper deals with partial replacement of cement with quarry dust and metakaolin which are having silica used as admixture for ...
متن کاملPartial Replacement of Metakaoline in Cement Concrete
Concrete is the extensively used construction material in the world. However, environmental concerns both in terms of damage caused by the extraction of raw material and CO2 emission during cement manufacture have brought pressure to reduce cement consumption by the use of supplementary materials. The utilization of calcined clay, in the form of metakaolin (MK) in concrete has received consider...
متن کاملA study of Metakaolin and Silica Fume used in various Cement Concrete Designs
In the present study, effect of pozzolanic material (Metakaolin and Silica fume) is studied through compressive and Flexural strength in cement concrete. Metakaolin and silica fume area used as cement replacement materials at 5%, 10% and 15% by mass keeping water–cement ratio as 0.42 Compressive and Flexural strength were observed after 7 and 28 days of curing. Silica fume is a by products resu...
متن کاملEffect of Partial Replacement of Cement by Silica Fume on Hardened Concrete
The use of Silica Fume (SF) in short period of time had one of the most dramatic impacts on the industry’s ability to routinely and commercially produce SF modified concrete of flowable in nature but yet remain cohesive, which in turn would develop both high early and high later-age strengths including resistant to aggressive environments. This paper features an experimental study on the nature...
متن کاملReplacement of Cement in Concrete
Cement is a binding material, a substance that sets and hardens independently, and can bind other materials together. In ancient civilization the binding materials were of traditional type such as jaggery, lead, jute, rice husk etc, now in modern civilization cement is main binding materials. The use of concrete containing high volume fly-ash has recently gained popularity as a resource efficie...
